东源村是浦城县莲塘镇下辖的行政村。村名来历：一条发源于夕阳岭北的小溪流经村中，汇入下沙溪，因源头在村东，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时的归属在孝悌里，民国时为体仁镇所辖。1950年代初归第二区，后改属第十二区。1958年隶城郊公社，称东源大队；1964年改属莲塘公社。1984年设村民委员会，隶莲塘乡；1998年6月改属莲塘镇。[1]
