前源村是浦城县莲塘镇下辖的行政村，位于县城西隅。村名取自一条从源头流往东山的小溪，村庄位于溪源一侧。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子明清时属上相里，民国先后隶属上相乡与招贤乡。1950年代归第二区，后属临江区；1958年隶城郊公社并编入东山大队。1964年改由莲塘公社管辖，1982年析出设前源大队。1984年设村民委员会，属莲塘乡；1998年6月改属莲塘镇。[1]
