桐源村是浦城县莲塘镇下辖的行政村，地处城区西部，位于东风水库坝头下游。村庄有三座山环抱，杉、松与桐树丛生，以桐树居多，村名由此而来。村庄是东风水库的库区移民安置村。[1][2]

2019年12月，村庄入选第一批「国家森林乡村」名单；2020年11月上榜「2020年度南平市“绿盈乡村”中级版村庄」名单。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时属上相里，民国时设上相乡。1952年归县第二区，1956年划入相梦笔直属乡，1958年改隶山桥公社。1964年并入莲塘公社，设桐源大队；1984年设村民委员会，属莲塘乡；1998年6月转归莲塘镇。[1]
