游村位于忠信镇南部，濒临柘溪。村中有一座独立的小山墩，名为香花墩，形状像蟹，古时称作「螃蟹游江」，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代隶雁塘里，民国归游村乡。1951年先划入第七区游村乡，随后又归第九区；1952年改为第十区的游村乡，1956年归仙阳区游枫乡。1958年9月隶忠信人民公社，设游枫生产大队；1961年7月改隶游枫公社，更名为游村大队。1966年回归忠信公社，1984年起改为村民委员会建制，1993年划归忠信镇。[1]
