半源村位于忠信镇中部，距镇驻地约10公里，东侧接寺前，其余邻村有雁塘、游村、渔沧与金凤。村址靠近山脚，夹在柘溪与山地之间，离源头约半里路，村名因此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国归游村乡，1951年隶第九区寺前乡，1956年改归仙阳区寺前乡。1958年9月隶忠信人民公社，设半源生产大队；1961年7月划入游枫公社，1966年1月游枫公社撤销后，本村回到忠信公社。1984年起改为村民委员会建制，1993年划归忠信镇。[1]
