渔沧村位于忠信镇西部，四周有海溪、雁塘、半源、寺前等村，还与忠信、外洋、源里相接。昔日此地溪流中鱼类聚集，称为鱼仓。原生产大队的驻地设在渔沧，1965年驻地迁往新前，村名仍沿用旧称。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代隶忠信里，民国归忠信乡，1951年归第九区寺前乡，1956年改属仙阳区。1958年设渔沧生产大队，隶忠信公社；1961年7月一度划归湖山公社，1962年6月回归忠信公社。1984年起改为村民委员会建制，1993年划归忠信镇。[1]
