溪源村位于忠信镇南部，与忠信村、虎头山村、金凤村相邻。村子原是缺水之地，据传先民挖山引水，把这里改造为良田，并自认为水源所在，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代隶雁塘里，民国归游村乡，1951年划入第九区凤林乡，1952年另设第十区溪源乡，1956年改属仙阳区溪源乡。1958年并入忠信公社，设溪源大队；1961年7月一度划归湖山公社，1962年6月回归忠信公社。1984年起改为村民委员会建制，1993年起属忠信镇。本村是革命老区村。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

「中共炭坞区委、区苏维埃政府旧址」在本村炭坞自然村，原为华光庙，清代始建，为土木结构。1932年，叶全兴领导炭坞一带的开辟苏区工作，同年11月在此设立浦北第一区苏维埃。1934年12月，国民党军围攻炭坞苏区，部分游击队撤至毛洋、马迹一带。2018年，此旧址列入福建省第九批省级文物保护单位名单。[2]

2021年6月，本村列入福建省第四批省级传统村落名单。[1]
