源里村位于忠信镇西部，与渔沧村、村桥村相邻，是忠信通往源里的公路终点。村名中的「源」指村子是排栅前溪的发源地，「里」指村子坐落在水口之内。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代隶船山里，民国归忠信乡。1951年编入第九区思贤乡，1956年改属九牧区村桥乡。1958年9月设立源里生产大队，隶忠信公社。1984年起改为村民委员会建制，1993年起属忠信镇。[1]
荣誉[edit]
省级爱卫部门于2021年11月将本村列为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
