村桥村位于忠信镇西侧，与源里村、外洋村、金樟村相邻。早年多王姓居民，村南北各建一座石拱桥，因而称为王村桥，后简称村桥。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代隶船山里，民国归忠信乡。1951年隶第九区的思贤乡，次年转入第十区的村桥乡，1956年归九牧区村桥乡。1958年归忠信公社，设村桥大队；1964年4月，毕岭地域并入本村。1984年起改为村民委员会建制，1993年起属忠信镇。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村桥村古民居在本村，建于清代，属县级文物。[2]

毕岭关在本村与李处村的分界处，即毕岭头垭口，东关一侧朝向忠信镇。关隘建于明朝，乾隆三十一年（1766年）曾做末次修整。2008年，此关纳入县级文物保护名录，属浦城县第五批。[3][4]
