廉溪村位于浦城县西部，与武夷山市毗邻，距镇政府21公里。村名原作「联溪」，后谐音写作「廉溪」。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名原作联溪，因村前两条小溪相连而得名，此后谐音写作濂溪、廉溪。清代此地属新兴六图，民国时称廉官保，1942年（民国三十一年）改称廉溪保。1950年称廉村乡，属第四区；1958年9月归永兴公社，称廉村大队。1966年改称廉溪大队，1984年为永兴乡下辖的廉溪村委会，1993年8月改属永兴镇。[1]
