连源村地处永兴镇最北端，离镇政府有10公里路程，东面与仙阳镇相邻，境内有龙岭下水库。村名取自原来的连墩与东源两地各一字。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

此地清代归新兴三图，民国时叫竹源保，属古楼乡。1950年归第四区，次年改属第五区，1955年划入古楼区并称连源乡。1958年改为古楼公社下的连源大队，1972年才转归永兴公社。1984年起为永兴乡连源村委会，1993年8月定为现名。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2009年，县委、县政府将文明单位称号授予连源村。[2]

2021年2月，连源村入选「福建省2018—2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[1]
