下墩村位于永兴镇北部棉山脚下，驻地佃元，距镇3公里。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代此处为新兴三图的一部分，民国期间归永兴镇管辖。1950年隶属第四区，1956年转入永兴区，1958年划归永兴公社。1961年另设下墩大队；1984年起为永兴乡的下墩村委会，1993年8月定为今名。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内有国清寺和仙姑寺两座寺庙，两寺设有庙会。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年度南平市「绿盈乡村」中级版村庄名单中有下墩村，公布于2021年12月。[1]
