历史沿革[edit]
此地在明清时属新兴四图，民国期间为前墩保，归新兴乡管辖。1950年一度称前墩乡，隶属山下区，两年后划入临江区。1955年起归永兴区，1958年另设前墩大队，同时隶属永兴公社。1984年改为永兴乡的前墩村委会，1993年8月定为现名。[1]
村委会起初设在前墩，1975年才搬到后门山办公，但名称保留了原来的叫法。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
吴郡墓建于康熙五十四年（1715年），墓园有三层墓埕，墓碑已不存。墓主吴郡，安徽凤阳人，清康熙年间从军，曾随施琅攻取澎湖，后历任定海镇总兵、松江提督和浙江水师提督。[2][3]
