山际村属仙阳镇，地处浦城县西北的山区，离县城38公里，西侧与古楼乡相接，北侧与九牧镇相邻，辖4个自然村[1]。村名取自村子四周高山林木密布，故名[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

民国时属招贤乡，此后隶属巽源乡、上洋乡等；1958年归仙阳公社上洋大队，1961年分出山际大队，改属阳墩公社，1965年重归仙阳公社，1984年9月更为现名，属仙阳镇[1]。
