七墩村是临江镇下辖的行政村。村名出于西汉时设立的七座烟墩，据博雅地名网，遗址今存四处，村子又称赤目墩、出门墩。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
民国时属临江镇。1950年代先后隶属临江乡、第三区和临江区，1958年属临江公社，1961年设七墩大队，1984年改为今名。[3]
2022年12月，七墩村被福建省爱国卫生运动委员会定为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]
