1984年改为今名。1958年为石陂公社的龙根大队；1956年属石陂乡石陂镇；1950年属第四区；民国时期隶属布墩乡。[1]

2017年8月，本村入列省级传统村落，名录为「福建省第二批省级传统村落」。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域疆域面积14160亩，分为八个村民小组。森林覆盖率为75.3%，山地8832.6亩。[1]

经济[edit]

耕地3150.2亩，村民以种稻为主。土产有笋干、红菇和茶叶，水产包括草鱼、鳙鱼、泥鳅和黄鳝。[1]
