余塘村是富岭镇的行政村，村委会驻余塘。村内多池塘，昔时村中多余姓，村子位于富岭街东南的池塘一带，因此得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明、清时期属泰宁里，民国属富岭镇，此后隶属富岭乡，又归富岭镇。1958年为富岭公社的富岭大队，1961年分出余塘大队，仍属富岭公社，1984年改为今名。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村域下辖余塘、道观山、大路边等6个自然村，编为5个村民小组。[1]
人口民族[edit]
2012年，村内有310户农家，人口1090人，其中244人外出。村中钟姓281人、蓝姓70人，博雅地名网将本村列为少数民族村。[1]
