民主村是南浦街道下辖的村，位于街道西侧，地处县城城关，下辖6个自然村。[1]村名取“民主”之意。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代这里属西隅里，民国时属西山镇。[1]1959年析出设民主大队，1981年9月归南浦镇。[1]1984年9月，这一级称为南浦镇民主村委会；2005年12月起为南浦街道民主村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年10月，民主村由福建省农业农村厅将其认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
