东山村是高阳乡下辖的行政村，位于乡境东面的山上，村名因此而来。1976年设立东山良种场，2007年改为村民委员会。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

早先此地为大外堡的辖地，解放后归建瓯县房道公社的大外大队。建西县于1964年设立，这里随之属高阳公社，名称仍为大外大队。1976年，大外大队析出一部分，设为东山良种场。2007年6月，顺昌县人民政府批准把东山良种场改为东山村民委员会，归高阳乡。[1]
