花桥村位于高阳乡西侧，距乡政府10公里，西与大历镇交界。从大历通往高阳的乡级公路横贯全村，村址海拔247米。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村中有一座步云寺，香火旺盛，前往寺院须经过一座名为花桥的桥梁，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村落原属花桥乡。1958年8月成立花桥大队，属建瓯县房道公社（南雅区）。1964年划归建西县高阳公社，1970年改属顺昌县高阳公社。1984年改为花桥村民委员会，隶属高阳乡。[1]

全村343户，人口1410人。全村土地总面积16295亩，其中耕地1097亩。[1]
