夏墩村位于岚下乡北部，距乡政府约5公里，村域面积23.01平方千米，海拔238米，是革命老区基点村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名的由来是早年居民多为夏姓，村落又靠近山边。[1]
解放前这里称夏墩堡，解放后成为夏墩村，归建瓯县第二区。1958年改设夏墩大队。1964年随建西县成立，归建西县岚下公社；1970年建西县撤销后，改称夏墩大队，隶属顺昌县岚下公社。1984年设夏墩村村民委员会，属岚下乡。[2]
人口民族[edit]
全村辖7个自然村，即朱墩、上坑、下岭、苦竹、横坑、陈际和杨梅，共11个村民小组，据载430户、1739人。[1]
经济[edit]
村域森林约有21723亩，毛竹林占其中10434亩；耕地为2229亩。村中设有果蔬与食用菌类的农民合作社及企业，有一家养鳗厂，另有三家小型竹制品加工厂，并种植了382亩烤烟。[2]
文化[edit]
2021年12月，村庄被认定为2021年度南平市「绿盈乡村」中级版村庄。此后于2022年12月，省农业农村厅把本村列为「一村一品」专业村，产品是四方笋。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
古佛庵战斗遗址位于夏墩村，为近代遗址，被公布为县级文物保护单位。[3]
