郭城村位于岚下乡东北部，距乡政府约10公里，辖区面积约30平方千米，村落依傍郭岩山脚。全村辖11个自然村、16个村民小组，据博雅地名网载为763户、2992人。[1][2][4]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的由来是村落建在郭岩山脚下，远望如一座小城。[1]

解放前这里叫郭城堡，解放后改称郭城村，归建瓯县第二区。1958年成为郭城大队，隶属建瓯县的岚下公社；此后随建西县的设立与撤销，先后归入建西县与顺昌县的岚下公社。1984年起设郭城村村民委员会，属岚下乡。[2]

地理环境[edit]

郭岩山的主峰与山腰寺庙位于本村境内。[3]全村林地合计31304亩，其中毛竹林占13580亩，耕地为3153亩。[2]

经济[edit]

烟叶、毛竹和以姬松茸为代表的食用菌是村内的主导产业。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内有多处县级文物保护单位：黄岩庙为清代建筑，星亭为明代建筑，村头坪通天大圣祭坛群为明代遗存，郭岩山开山祖师塔也为明代所建。[2]
