历史沿革[edit]
村落旁的群山绵延不断，看上去像一个个土墩相接，村名由此而来。[2]
1958年设连墩大队，隶跃进仁寿公社的洋墩管理区；1961年改属洋墩公社。1984年改称连墩村委会，属洋墩乡。[2]
文化[edit]
村中有连墩大王庙和洪地观音堂两处庙宇。[3]
经济[edit]
2022年12月，省农业农村厅确定本村为2022年度福建省「一村一品」专业村（柑橘）。[2]
连墩村于2004年被福建省建设厅命名为「农村优秀住宅小区」，2017年被评为「中国景观村落」。[1]
