蔡坑村位于洋墩乡南部，距乡所在地8.5千米，村庄坐落在群山之间的一条长坑中，村内林木与果园较多。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村址在路马头村旁的一条长坑中，早先的居民以蔡姓为主，村名由此而来。[1]

解放前为蔡坑乡，归仁寿第五区管辖。1958年设蔡坑大队，归仁寿分社下的洋墩管理区；1961年改属洋墩公社；1984年改称蔡坑村委会，隶属洋墩乡。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中的杉木王，据博雅地名网所载，是全县最大的一株杉树。[2]
