塘后村位于仁寿镇西北部，面积8.51平方千米，海拔288米。村名来源于旧时村中的山塘，房屋依塘后而建。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域东面与余塘村、长圳相接，西、南、北三面都与桂溪村相邻。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国年间此地名为塘后堡，隶属桂溪乡。1952年年初并入余塘乡；1954年，村庄又从其中析出，另设塘后乡。1958年，这里成为塘后大队，划属铁道公社；1984年设塘后村村民委员会，归仁寿乡管辖；1994年撤乡设镇后隶属仁寿镇。[1]

经济[edit]

林业用地9561亩，耕地845亩。另种植台湾有机水稻160亩。[1]
