甲头村，旧写作陕头，古称隔头，村子在大干镇西北端，离镇政府40公里，是镇内最边远的行政村。[1][3]

地名由来[edit]

因村子处于两山之间，后来改名甲头。[2]

地理环境[edit]

全村总土地面积35046亩，其中1732亩位于将乐县境内，耕地1280亩；村中还有上万亩毛竹山。[1][3][4]

水力资源丰富，1960年即办起小水电站，2004年双溪口电站投入运行，装机400千瓦。[1]

人口[edit]

全村5个自然村、6个村民小组，198户、880人，以郑、廖两姓为多，主村设在木林口。[1][2]

物产[edit]

村中毛竹是支柱产业，笋干、香菇、红菇为特产。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1946年设甲头堡，1951年设甲头村，1954年改称甲头乡；1959年设甲头大队，1975年大队迁至木林口，1984年改为村民委员会，1995年起隶属大干镇。[1]
