1968年设立良种场，1989年8月获批准，改制为村。[1][2]

村名由居民点分布的地块范围广、位于田地之后而来。[1]

1989年以后，村委会隶属大历乡；1993年撤乡设镇后，归大历镇管辖。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子在镇域西面，距镇政府约5公里，总面积4.66平方千米，设2个村民小组。[2]

人口民族[edit]

文化[edit]

2020年12月，本村入选「2020年度福建省一村一品示范村」名单，产品为蔬菜。[1]
