张墩村在顺昌县城北面，埔上镇西南。主村张墩位于316国道西侧，富屯溪自东南向流经村域。村名取自早年居民多为张姓。[1]

村内双舟尾自然村有双舟尾通天大圣祭坛，时代为明代，列为县级文物保护单位。[2]

2023年12月，张墩村获评「2023年度福建省一村一品专业村」，产业为大米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期张墩一带归营口都管辖。1940年称张墩堡，归大干区；1952年设张墩乡，隶大干第三区。1958年张墩单设大队，归大干公社领导，1961年划归埔上公社。1984年改称张墩村民委员会。[1]
