谢坑村在顺昌县中北部、埔上镇东南，地处九龙山脉之中，村庄海拔在500米左右。早年居民多为谢姓，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1948年时称仙源堡，1952年设谢坑乡，属大干第三区。1958年谢坑单设大队，归埔上公社统辖；1984年改称谢坑村民委员会，归埔上乡管辖。撤乡建镇后，村子改属埔上镇。[1]
