蛟溪村位于元坑镇东北部，金溪河与郑蛟河在村境汇合，距县城约10公里。村内有宋代进士廖刚墓，已公布为县级文物保护单位。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

蛟溪村位于元坑镇东北部，金溪河与郑蛟河在此汇流，距县城约10公里，距镇政府约5公里。全村土地约1.24万亩，其中耕地约0.13万亩，山林约0.85万亩。[1]

村中建有两座小型水库和一座55千瓦的小水电站，境内花岗岩与沙石料资源丰富。2003年建成的金溪悬索吊桥全长262米，204省道与蛟郑县乡公路在村中交汇。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时此地称蛟溪乡。1946年为蛟溪堡，归谟武乡管辖。1951年复为蛟溪乡，划入第四区；1959年设蛟溪大队，归红旗公社。1961年归元坑公社，1984年才有蛟溪村村民委员会，1992年撤乡建镇后隶属元坑镇。[2]

古迹[edit]

村内保存有宋代进士廖刚墓，已公布为县级文物保护单位。[3]

景灵寺于20世纪80年代重建。[1]
