九村位于元坑镇东南部，据博雅地名网，村子旧称元坑村。村内有清代的朱氏祠堂、蔡氏宗祠和七驺堂，均为县级文物保护单位；洋菇山上的圆通古庙始建于明代。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1948年此地为九村堡，属元坑乡。1952年称东风乡，归县第四区管辖；1958年设九村大队，编入红旗公社。1961年划归元坑公社；1984年定名九村村村民委员会，1992年撤乡建镇后隶属元坑镇。[1]

地名由来[edit]

旧时这一带有九个自然村，村名因此而来。解放后，村子由元坑村改称九村村。[1][2]

村况[edit]

村子辖6个村民小组，据博雅地名网所载，总人口1228人。福银高速公路顺昌连接线从村境穿过，村中道路四通八达。[2]

建筑与文物[edit]

元坑朱氏祠堂与元坑蔡氏宗祠同为清代建筑，都有前后两殿，后殿为主殿，均已公布为县级文物保护单位。[2][3]

七驺堂为清代建筑，同属县级文物保护单位。[3]

村中的古民居为清代所建，屋子四周砌土库墙，山墙做成马头样式，屋内雕梁画栋，照壁上多刻戏曲人物，也有动物与花草。[2]

洋菇山上有一座圆通古庙，始建于明代。[2]

水利[edit]

泗珠峡水坝始建于1965年，全村有三处水利设施，灌溉着1100多亩农田。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2015年10月，九村村入选「福建省第一批省级传统村落」；2021年11月，九村村被授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
