文昌社区是元坑镇的镇中心区，居民委员会于1993年成立。社区之名取自元坑古镇的文昌桥和文昌阁。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

文昌居民委员会成立于1993年，自定名以来沿用至今。[1]

文昌桥与文昌阁[edit]

文昌桥为木结构桥，全长145米，宽6米，始建于1515年。桥身历经水灾与火患，多次毁坏；2009年经过重修，次年正月完工。桥旁建有文昌阁，两者相邻。[1]
