光明村是洋口镇下辖的行政村，是镇内四个革命老区村之一。村子位于富屯溪畔，地势平坦，鹰厦铁路与洋岚公路穿村而过，交通便捷。全村有3个村民小组。村名寓光大明亮之意。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的由来可追溯到原先的自卫街和团结街。1954年，两街在组建初级社、高级社时合并为团结街。1958年，此地设光明生产大队，归洋口公社洋口管理区；1961年起划归洋口公社；1984年，大队改为光明村民委员会，归洋口镇管辖。[1]
