元峰村建在山峰上，是建西镇海拔最高的行政村，村名取“源”与“元”谐音。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村子在1946年称南峰堡，1958年改为元峰大队，当时归洋口公社际滨管理区。1964年归建西县，1970年回到顺昌县际会公社。1984年改设村民委员会，2006年际会乡并入建西镇。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村子海拔436米，离镇区39公里，与大历镇相邻，通往镇区的公路已经硬化。[1]
文化[edit]
村中的金峰寺为清代所建，万福庵建于光绪十二年（1886年）。两座庙宇分别在1993年和1997年重新修建。[2][3]
2021年12月，元峰村获得南平市“绿盈乡村”中级版村庄的认定。[1]
经济[edit]
村中以毛竹和竹笋为主导产业。[1]
