新屯村是福建省南平市顺昌县双溪街道下辖的行政村，位于县城西北，距城关10公里，北靠长窠山，东临富屯溪。村辖新屯（主村）、安源、府墙、华源底四个自然村。村名原作旱屯，1966年后因水利兴修而改为今名。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

旧称旱屯，取缺水干旱之意。1966年后兴修水利，原先缺水的状况得到改观，村名遂改为今名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代此地有“翰屯”之称，明代设“旱屯渡”，村名又作翰屯村。明、清两代属吉舟都。1937年至1949年为旱屯乡，隶双溪镇；1952年归第一区，1955年为新联乡。1958年设旱屯大队，属上游公社；1966年设新屯大队，属城关公社；1980年归属新屯茶场，1982年划归水南公社。1984年，新屯村设立村民委员会。2006年5月，水南与双溪两镇合为双溪街道，村随之归入。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域西面与元坑镇的谟武村相邻，北面与大干镇的余富村交界，东面隔河与吉舟村斜望，南与文新村接壤。海拔131米，总面积22.40平方千米；其中山林地17904亩，农田1775亩，果山1339亩。[2]

人口与产业[edit]

村由四个自然村组成，共11个村民小组。2013年末有498户、1902人，劳动力1179人。村子自古以农业与种粮为主，是原水南镇的粮食主产区。改革开放后，村里的农业与多种经营发展较快。[2]
