地名由来[edit]
相传半山腰泥田中原本开过一口井，村落又位于山垄之间，故名井垄。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1946年为井垄堡。1952年成为井垄乡，隶顺昌县第一区。1958年井垄大队成立，归上游公社；1961年划入城关公社，1981年转归水南公社。1984年设井垄村村民委员会，隶水南镇。2006年5月，水南与双溪两镇合为双溪街道，村归其管辖。[1]
地理与交通[edit]
村位于县城东郊，离顺昌县火车站约1.5公里，离316国道约3公里，京福高速的连接线也在附近。驻村单位包括邵武铁路电务段、顺昌变电站与县民族小学，此外还有天泉啤酒公司等企业。[2]
耕地为1350亩。林业用地17393亩，其间经济林占2290亩，经济林中又含油茶林与小径竹；生态公益林占5046亩，用材林为8918亩。特色产品有山茶油与红菇。[2]
