地名由来[edit]
原居民多为陈姓一族，故名陈布。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据载，陈布一带自后唐同光年间就有村落，明正德年间始见于文献，古称陈富。派溪原为福兴古村，陈板布在明代隶属蛟溪乡靖安都，称陈坂铺。[2]
清咸丰年间（1853—1859），池坑的纸业工人参与顺昌红巾军起义，起义之后池坑成了无纸无竹的村落。池坑所在一带，早先曾是顺昌毛边纸的产地。[2]
1949年时此地称陈布乡，归第一区管辖。1955年，村内组建高级社。1958年设陈布大队，隶上游公社；1961年归城关公社管辖，1981年又转入水南公社。1984年，村改设陈布村村民委员会，隶水南镇。2006年5月，水南与双溪两镇合为双溪街道，村归其管辖。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村域总面积14.73平方千米，农田1370亩，山林地21232亩。村境内有204省道穿过，派溪自然村附近经过福银高速公路连接线，交通便利。[2]

2020年11月，陈布村上榜2020年度南平市「绿盈乡村」中级版村庄名单。[1]
