建光社区是福建省南平市顺昌县双溪街道下辖的社区，位于县城中心偏东，居委会1961年7月成立，是县城关最早的社区之一。社区名的来历见下文。[1]
地名由来[edit]
社区所辖是顺昌城区的中心。改革开放之初大兴建设，取“前景光明”之意，遂有建光之名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1961年7月，建光居委会设立。1966年它改称建设居委会，1981年才恢复为建光社区居民委员会。2006年5月双溪镇与水南镇合并，社区随即归属双溪街道。[1]
地理环境[edit]
社区的范围呈三角形：东侧以顺昌大饭店为界，北抵实验小学，西抵供销小区，南边则是金溪与富屯溪。辖区内既有现代商住楼群，也保留着一些老式平房和小庭院式居民区。[1]
人口与设施[edit]
