2021年11月，村子被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

这一带明清时属崇化里。1923年划归书坊乡，此后1951年另设水北乡；1958年起为水北大队，隶麻沙公社；1961年归并到书坊公社；1984年才改成水北村村民委员会。[1]
