书坊乡位于南平市建阳区西南部，宋至清代称崇化里。南宋时刻书作坊在此聚集，因而得名书坊，此地又称书林。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
宋至清代，这一带称崇化里。南宋时刻书作坊集中于此，地名由此而来。[2]
1961年设书坊公社，1984年10月公社撤销，改设书坊乡。[1][2]
人口民族[edit]
以2019年末户籍登记计，乡内户籍人口共有10392人。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
乡内古迹有明代黄道周题写的「此中世外」匾额，另有清代建造的白塔。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2020年12月，福建省爱卫办为书坊乡授予「福建省卫生乡镇」称号。[2]
2021年2月，书坊乡入选「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[2]
