井后村位于小湖镇东南方向约12公里，辖2个自然村。村名的来由是建村之初，在房屋后侧凿成七口水井，地名由此得来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1984年改设井后村村民委员会，沿用至今；1958年后称井后大队。1956年归建阳县，1949年定名井后村，1940年属水吉县，1913年为建瓯县禾义里小湖乡的一部分。[1]
