小湖村是小湖镇镇区所在的村，镇人民政府驻此。村名的来由与南浦溪有关：旧时溪水在村南受阻，积水成湖，村因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年起改设小湖村村民委员会，沿用至今。此前的1958年，这里为小湖公社驻地，所在的大队名为小湖大队；1956年此地划归建阳县。[1]

更早时，宋代属瓯宁县西乡里，民国时期归建瓯县禾义里，1940年起以小湖镇之名属水吉县，1944年又改称水吉县四区的小湖乡。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2025年11月，村庄被确定为「福建省2025年度省级一村一品专业村」（杨梅）。[1]
