村子建在北面的山坳里，形状如同置于盂中，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1961年至1966年设为大队。1989年从原辖地分出，另立北盂坑村村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

村域耕地510亩，山地6000亩。山地中锥栗山410亩，竹山1100亩。[1]
