外屯村位于漳墩镇北部，距镇政府所在地14公里，村内山林面积大，竹山、锥栗、杨梅和茶叶是主要经济林。[1]村名的来历是北方人迁来此地建村，因非本地人而得名。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域山地面积约29447亩，其中林地24530亩，非林地4917亩；耕地3530亩，竹山5120亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地先隶属建瓯县水吉特区漳墩乡，1946年设水吉县外屯乡。[1]1951年外屯乡改属水吉县回龙区，1956年划归建阳县，1958年归漳墩公社管辖。1959年一度单设外屯公社，1965年又并入漳墩公社。[1]1984年设立外屯村村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
