七宝村是麻沙镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域西北部，205省道穿村而过[1][2]。村名的来历有一个流传的故事：原名八宝社，因外村取走一宝，只剩七宝，遂改称七宝[2]。

全村面积20.26平方公里，共5个自然村、8个村民小组，计292户、1230人[2]。村距麻沙镇政府12公里[3]。

村中山林面积24344亩，耕地2325亩[3]。

历史沿革[edit]

原名七宝社，后简称「七宝」。解放前此地属长坪乡的七宝保；新中国成立后划入麻沙第六区，称长坪七宝乡，此后改属麻沙区七宝乡[2]。1958年起改称七宝大队，隶属麻沙公社；1984年改设七宝村村民委员会[2]。

革命历史[edit]

范圹一带曾为苏区驻地。1933年3月，红军县独立营曾以七宝村为驻地，并由此出发作战[3]。

物产[edit]

早年集体收入多来自药材，主要种白术、元参等。近年发展烟草与淮山，十年前引进水产养殖，现有鳗鱼养殖场[3]。
