湖桥村位于福建省南平市建阳区莒口镇西南部，书坊溪流经村境，村址海拔约180米。[1]

地名由来[edit]

相传早先村边有一个小湖，湖上架着一座桥，村因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放后，此地先并入湖桥乡；1956年湖桥与九峰各自成乡；1958年划入先锋大队，属莒口公社；1961年湖桥、九峰又各设大队；1966年下半年并为湖桥大队；1984年起称湖桥村村民委员会，一直延用到现在。[1]
