兴建社区位于建阳市西南隅，是宝山街道下辖的社区，2003年成立。社区名取自驻地小区「世纪新建」，“兴”与“新”读音相同。[1][2]

社区面积约1平方千米，常住居民1328户，总人口4058人。[1]

社区名称取自驻地小区「世纪新建」，因“兴”与“新”同音而得名。[1]

社区于2003年7月成立，办公地点原在行署范围之内。2022年2月23日之后，改由宝山街道管辖。[1][2]

辖区概况[edit]

社区所在地在建阳市西南隅，四至大致为：东以西桥南路为界，西抵市田径场，南靠黄花山路，北达建阳一中。[1]

辖区内有南平市人民政府驻建阳办事处、南平市第二医院等11个单位。[2]

荣誉[edit]

社区2008年获得「南平市绿色社区」称号，2011年获「省级居家养老服务示范社区」和「省级科普示范社区」称号，2012年获「全国科普示范社区」称号。[1]

另获「2009-2011年度建阳市级文明社区」称号。[1]
