城关村位于潭城街道西北部，处在建阳市区西北的城乡结合地带。村子距武夷行政中心约3公里，周边有铁路和高速公路经过，主要道路通往武夷、邵武和南平。[1]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

村名取自此处为城区居民聚居之地。[1] 村于1984年命名，同年由生产大队改为村民委员会；2001年以后迁到现在的位置。[1]

概况[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，全村397户、1595人，其中党员73人，设9个村民小组，统计年份未注明。[2]

2006年，村里成立老年协会，并以协会的经营收益作为老年人福利。村中设有一个村级卫生室和老年人活动中心。[2]
