西马村是福建省南平市延平区赤门乡下辖的行政村，村委会驻西马村。村名据《1993年南平市志·地名志》所载，因村东有一座山形似马而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年10月曾设西马乡，1958年四乡合并后改称西马村。村地在明洪武元年（1368年）属保福里，清代仍之；1941年属保福乡山头保，1949年归第二区西马乡，1958年归红星（太平）公社，1961年称西马大队，1984年改为村民委员会。[1]

人口民族[edit]

2011年，村内有13个村民小组、425户，以汉族为主。[1][2]

经济[edit]

村境内产方解石，另有铁矿、铜矿的记载；博雅地名网称其中部分已开发，部分尚待勘探。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村境内有东山水库，是乡内的灵山胜境之一。[2][3]
