瓦口村是炉下镇下辖的行政村，村内有李侗墓，村域内有湿地资源。全村设4个村民小组，下辖小田头、瓦口和堀垱三个自然村。[1][3]

地名由来[edit]

据《1993年南平市志·地名志》所载，村名与一带以瓦场为中心聚居的情况有关，故名瓦口。[1]

人口与面积[edit]

2011年末，村中共753人，其中670人常住，83人流动，全体为汉族。辖区面积6.80平方千米，陆地6.41平方千米，另有水域0.39平方千米。[1]

湿地与生态[edit]

延平区政府网站称，瓦口村有全市稀缺的湿地资源，并依托瓦口洋与斜溪一带的滨水景观，发展生态旅游、休闲养生和农业观光。[3]

文物[edit]

李侗墓在本村。据延平区第三次全国文物普查名录，墓葬属宋代，列为区级文物保护单位。[1][2] 百度百科注明墓在民国初期重修过。[4]

名录还列有瓦口木元山遗址，为青铜时代遗存，记在炉下镇瓦口村。[2]

荣誉[edit]

福建省农业农村厅在2022年10月将瓦口村认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。2024年1月，瓦口村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武元年起此地属崇仁里，清代沿袭。1934年属南平县第六区炉溪乡，其后1941年改设水井后保，1946年改为炉湄乡的斜溪保。1949年归四区炉下乡，1958年设瓦口大队，隶属东方红（夏道）人民公社；1961年归炉下公社，1984年改设瓦口村民委员会。1995年炉下乡改镇，瓦口村随之归属。[1]
